ThreeRivers Belgian Tervurens is located 1 hour east of Seattle,
WA. USA. Nestled in the Raging River Valley, County King, the
western slope of the
Cascade Mountains supplies the year round greenery.
The Humans in charge are Bonny and Greg Sheppard. Our story, I believe is
similar to our fellow Tervuren fanciers, we were taken by the beauty and
charisma of our breed. At an All Breed dog show doing some casual puppy
shopping, we watched a Tervuren walk out of the Group ring with the awarded
Group1. That day began our search for our 1st Tervuren puppy. Thirteen years
later we've lived with 5 Tervs, one of them still with us.
The Terv Trail accelerated quickly for Bonny and I. We have been involved in
three dog clubs. The American Belgian Tervuren club, as well as charter
members of the Evergreen Belgian Tervuren Club, where I recently served as
President, and currently we are again serving on the Board of Directors. The
3rd club being a group of "dog's best friends" aka, The Rainier Agility Team.
Bonny has been involved as Education Committe chair and Training Coordinator,
myself as an instructor and course builder. Bonny and I have
co-chaired two National Specialty Agility Trials and were instrumental in
starting the largest NADAC agility trial in the NW area. It hasn't always been a
"clean run" but it's sure been a good stretch.
Watch out for what you wish for, because these
Tervurens will enrich your lives, and keep you busy too!
