Our purple ribbon girl -- Willow resides in sunny CA
with Joan and is co-owned by Carole. Willow is Joan's second Terv, and
her first Terv puppy....a new experience to be sure! Willow is an
elegant puppy who has already discovered sheep. Carole as well as Greg
have high hopes for this lovely female...and Joan gets the best part of all,
she gets to live with her!!
Her conformation career was electric -- from a Best of Opp puppy Sweepstakes
win at 6 months and a day, a 4 point major at the prestigious Palm Springs
CA shows and then an incredible three 5 point majors in a row in Harrisburg
PA!! Willow has impressed judges with her incredible structure, type
and steady character literally from Coast-to-Coast!
Willow returned to CA with plans for obedience and agility
training...however, we were dealt a cruel blow when at almost 19 months of
age, she began to seizure. Her dam, Spice, sadly had seizured for the
first time (witnessed) when the pups were 4 months old. Spice's
sister, Tess, also began to have petit mal seizures about the same time.
Tess and Spice of course were spayed. We'd hoped that the two
sisters would be the only dogs to seizure in the pedigree but it was not to
be. The bright spot in all of this is that Willow is the only puppy
from the Spice x Talon litter to be affected -- and they are now over 3
years of age.
Willow leads an different life than what we'd planned, but she's enjoying
life in spite of her medications... thyroid testing has shown she has low T3
and T4 levels and addressing that deficiency has helped the quality of her
life immensely... her spirit is lifted and she's begun some of her old
antics! Joan is an incredibly devoted owner and has given Willow every
chance to battle her epilepsy. We don't know how this story will end,
but we know Willow is certainly enjoying her life to the fullest these
days!!

These are the two Champion offspring from the Spice x Talon litter and they
did us very proud at the ABTC specialty!
